La seguridad de ser salvado y la salvación son, en último extremo,
al margen de cualquier idea racional, el sentido decisivo de toda la

Resumen
El objetivo de este trabajo es realizar un comentario sobre la base de
dos textos fundamentales que marcaron las reflexiones de la historia
universal y el apocalipsis, como consecuencia de la Primera y la Se-
gunda Guerra Mundial. Franz Rosenzweig y Carl Schmitt fueron dos
autores que intentaron comprender el estado del mundo luego de la
destrucción que marcó su tiempo. Cada uno, desde su perspectiva y
cargando con la historia de sus tradiciones teológico-políticas, inten-
tó pensar la coyuntura histórica de su tiempo desde la problemática
espacial de la Tierra y el Mar. Este texto intentará reflexionar sobre
estos caminos que se entrecruzaron.

A COMMENTARY ON THE STATE OF THE WORLD
IN FRANZ ROSENZWEIG AND CARL SCHMITT
Abstract
The main objective of this paper is to develope a commentary based
on two fundamental texts that marked the reflections of the Universal
History and the Apocalypse as a consequence of World War I and
World War II. Franz Rosenzweig and Carl Schmitt were two authors
who tried to understand the state of the World after the destruction
that marked their time. Each one from his perspective and carrying
with the history of his theological-political traditions, tried to re-think
the historical conjuncture of his time from the problematic of the
Earth and the Sea. This text will try to reflect on these paths that were
intertwined.
