Resumen
Desde una aproximación sociojurídica se reexiona sobre la relación existente
entre el tiempo que dura el trámite de un caso y el acceso a la justicia en el Sistema
Interamericano de Derechos Humanos. Para tal n se reconstruyen, en primer lugar,
los estándares normativos del acceso a la justicia, su sentido y alcance. En segundo
lugar, se exploran algunas dicultades del Sistema Interamericano para actuar con
mayor celeridad en el trámite de peticiones individuales. Por último, se analizan los
tiempos de los casos fallados contra Colombia y su relación con la obtención de justicia
incluso después de proferida la sentencia.

Since a sociojuridical approach, this article studies the relationship between the time
it takes the resolution of a case and the access to the justice in the Inter-American
Human Rights System. For this purpose, we rebuild the juridical standards of the
access to justice, and it meaning and scope. e article explores some troubles of the
Inter-American Human Rights System concerning the delays in the procedures of
individual petitions. Finally, the text studies the “t imes” of cases against Colombia and
the relationship with the achievement of justice even aer the judgment.

A partir d’une approche socio-juridique, cet article rééchit sur la relation entre le temps
nécessaire pour obtenir le traitement d’une aaire et l’accès à la justice dans le système
interaméricain de protection des droits de l’homme. A cet eet, ce texte reconstitue
les standards normatifs de l’accès à la justice, son sens et sa portée, et explore quelques
dicultés dans le système interaméricain à agir rapidement dans le traitement des
demandes individuelles. Enn, l’article analyse les temps des aaires résolus contre la
Colombie et sa relation avec l’obtention de justice, même après la decisión.
